Gerson Cultural Arts Series – Free Concerts and Refreshments!

Thursday, January 25 from 8:00 am to Friday, March 22 from 8:00 am

The Gerson Cultural Arts Series brings together talented performers, lecturers, musicians, and more for a free concert at Council House. Seasonal refreshments are served after the show. All performances are from 1-2 PM on the 2nd floor of Council House.

The Gerson Cultural Art Series is brought to Council House through a generous grant from the Gerson Family Foundation

The upcoming Gerson schedule is:

January 25 – The Gabriel Schillinger-Hyman Quartet

The Gabriel Schillinger-Hyman Quartet celebrates the timeless works of Jewish-American jazz luminaries Anat Cohen, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Jay Livingston, Gordon Irving, and Victor Young, as well as Black American jazz legends including Ahmad Jamal and Cedar Walton, who incorporated Jewish and biblical themes into their music. The quartet also features their own contemporary compositions, bridging sounds of past and present.

February 22 – Tony Middleton, Cabaret Singer 

Join us for Tony Middleton’s very diverse repertoire! He performs standards, jazz, blues, pop & funk, as well as many songs out of the American songbook.

March 21 – Judah Goldman, Singer and Musician 

Judah is a Jewish multi-instrumentalist entertainer, songwriter and musician born and raised in New York City. Drawing on a variety of styles and influences, Judah offers a unique, exciting and dynamic array of performances ranging from classical and bluegrass to folk and jazz singalongs, all the way to rock performances.
