Did you know that women’s voices are severely underrepresented in key opinion forums,  including Congress, op-eds, Sunday morning talk shows, and community boards? It’s time to be heard! Develop the skills to advocate for the issues that matter to you!

Become an effective advocate in just FIVE workshops:

Workshop Schedule

Session 1 – Tuesday, October 27 at 6 PM
Learn To Lobby with Jody Rabhan, NCJW DC, Director of Washington Operations

Session 2 – Wednesday, November 18 at 6 PM
Social Media for Advocacy with Jeanne Brooks, Director of Global Communities at DataKind

Session 3 – Thursday, December 17 at 6 PM
Coalition Building with Dr. Terry Mizrahi, Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, Professor, Chair, Community Organizing & Program Development

Session 4 – Monday, January 25 at 6 PM
Taking Charge of Media Relations with Nicole Bestard, Managing Director, Spark PR  

Session 5 – Wednesday, March 2 at 6 PM
Community Organizing with Marbre Stahly-Butts, Soros Fellow at Center for Popular Democracy

Come to all five sessions or select only the ones in which you’re interested. Participants who attend at least four sessions will receive a certificate of completion  and will have a great addition to their résumés!
