Michal Rosenn
Former General Counsel, Noom
Michal Rosenn is a seasoned executive and General Counsel with over a decade of experience leading and advising cutting-edge tech companies. She is currently an advisor to the Board of Noom, a psychology-based digital health platform, after having served as Noom’s General Counsel. She was previously General Counsel of Expa, a VC fund and venture studio led by Uber founder Garrett Camp, and General Counsel of Kickstarter, the world’s leading crowdfunding platform.
In all her roles, Michal has applied her advisory and operational skills to support the launch, building, and scaling of complex businesses. She has shepherded countless complex transactions, scaled legal, trust & safety, and public policy functions, and played critical roles as a trusted advisor to boards, founders, investors, and executives.
She has also brought to her roles a strategic focus on public policy, a creative and inclusive approach to advocacy, and a commitment to the public interest in the technology sector. While at Kickstarter, she helped lead Kickstarter’s conversion to Public Benefit Corporation status and made the company a leading voice for public policy in the technology community. Michal led Kickstarter’s efforts on a range of public policy initiatives, including fighting to preserve net neutrality, advocating for users’ free expression and privacy rights, and championing a fair patent system. She continued this policy work at Expa and at Noom, lending the companies’ voices to advocacy efforts on behalf of immigrants, entrepreneurs, and creators, and in support of equitable health policies.
Michal was previously a litigation associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. She is a graduate of New York University and Harvard Law School, and serves on the boards of Public Knowledge and the Community Service Society in New York. She is also a member of the New York State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.
