Last night, President Trump nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch to be the next US Supreme Court Justice. Judge Gorsuch rejects the basic constitutional values that have supported the progress made by women, workers, the LQBTQ community, and people of color throughout our country’s history. His record raises significant concerns about his ability to be a fair, open-minded and independent jurist.

Now is the time to speak out! Make three phone calls this week to help stop Gorsuch:

Call 1: On Thursday, February 2, from 2-3 pm ET, join NCJW for an emergency call to learn more about Judge Gorsuch and our strategy for opposing this dangerous nominee. Calls 2 & 3: Today, call BOTH of your senators to tell them that Judge Gorsuch must not be confirmed! Call your senators directly or connect through the US Capitol Switchboard by calling (202) 224-3121. If no one answers, be sure to leave a polite voicemail! After introducing yourself as a constituent, use this sample script for your remarks:

I urge Senator [NAME] to oppose the nomination of Judge Gorsuch to the US Supreme Court. Judge Gorsuch’s record on the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals shows that he is not mainstream and would not protect women, workers, or the environment. Gorsuch sides with the wealthy and powerful over everyone else. The Supreme Court exists to protect the constitutional rights of all Americans. Gorsuch has proven that he would do the opposite. Thank you.
