NCJW NY relies on hundreds of volunteers to serve our community, change our city for the better, and achieve our mission. We make an impact by mobilizing the skills, ideas, energy, and compassion of our volunteers. Join us!

Our volunteers have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, partnering with our professional staff in the design, strategy, and execution of our programs and advocacy campaigns.

We offer numerous, flexible ways for volunteers to get involved. You can:

  • Read with children in our after-school literacy program.
  • Help plan a trip to Albany to advocate for progressive policy change.
  • Provide nourishing food to New Yorkers in need at our weekly Food Pantry.
  • Help economically disadvantaged children “shop” for everything they need for free at our annual Back 2 School Store.
