NCJW NY is working with a national voter turnout project called Vote Forward that allows you to Get Out The Vote from home! Vote Forward/NCJW NY is a nonpartisan effort aimed at people from underrepresented communities who are registered to vote, but often don’t vote. We are beginning by targeting voters in Florida, and we would love for you to join us.
The process is really simple. You sign up here and then are given the names and addresses of voters and a form letter that you personalize by writing a sentence or two about why voting is important to you. You put it in an envelope, address it, and then wait until about a week before the November election to send the letters you’ve written. Data from past elections demonstrate that this kind of personalized outreach can have a meaningful impact on voter turnout.
