Dear NCJW NY Community,

This election brought up levels of fear, anxiety, and frustration for all Americans that we have not seen in years. We at NCJW NY believe that we must channel these feelings into positive and production action. We must regroup and “rise up” to continue our fight for the rights guaranteed in our Constitution. The National Council of Jewish Women, here in New York and across the country, has a long history of giving voice to the most vulnerable populations in society and working tirelessly to improve the lives of women, children, and families. We stand as allies with the LGBTQ community, African Americans, Latino/a Americans, Muslim Americans, Native Americans, Asian Americans, and all those fighting for social and economic justice.

NCJW NY will continue to advocate for equal rights for all: the right of all women to make our own health care decisions; the right to vote; the right to live free of violence and prejudice; the right to affordable health care and child care. We will stand up against all forms of hate and intolerance. We will stand up for inclusiveness, cooperation and collaboration.

We will continue to work with our elected officials through our democratic process to create positive change for all Americans. This is our message and this is our commitment!

In solidarity,
Maria Mostajo, President
Andrea Salwen Kopel, Executive Director
